Ingredients: 500 gr (1 lb) flour; 200 gr (8 oz) sugar; 300 gr (10 oz) butter; 4 eggs; 1 dl (3 fl oz) milk; 300 gr (10 oz) dried figs; 60 gr (2 oz) pistachios; 100 gr (4 oz) sultana raisins; 150 gr (6 oz) walnut kernels; 50 gr (2 oz) plain chocolate flakes; 150 gr (6 oz) toasted almonds; 300 gr (10 oz) candied pumpkin; a pinch of cinnamon; 1/2 glass of Marsala; a pinch of salt.

Mix flour with sugar, melted butter, eggs, a pinch of salt and add a bit of milk to obtain a paste of medium consistency. With rolling pin, roll out the dough not too thin and cut it circularly, lay a little plate in the center and cut a circle to obtain a crown. Prepare the stuffing, put in a bowl soaked and chopped dried figs, egg and all the other ingredients. Homogenize the mixture and fill the crown. Lift up the sides, close to almost everything so that we can see a little filling at the top. Bake in a moderate oven for half an hour.
